Photography ain't dead yet, baby! So I'm keeping true to Joyce's words, I'm keeping it alive.
*This entry will be peppered with photos ;)
Web design was fun today, I'm loving the lecturers here. We had this pie-chart detailing the percentage of work put in by a web designer, and only 15% of web-designing is actual designing. He went on to point out that roughly 60% of the time we'll spend trying to figure out how to "get the bastard to work with Internet Fucking Explorer". Hahahah!

Boredom + photobooth = :D

Tried to take some bird photos. They're some rare species apparently. God knows what they're called though.
Skyping with the family! :D
Just now there were a bunch of people playing with fire in my area, so I grabbed my camera and went to see what they were up to. They were, um, I'm not sure of the term, "Fire-Spinners"? Whatever, they were twirling balls and a staff (as in stick, not people) on fire. Pretty damn cool. So yeah, got a few photos. Some better than others. I'll only put up a few though, as they're the ones that are really aesthetically good looking.

Then me dad decided to drop me a call on Skype, and it turned out that the whole family (the ones in PJ, at least) were at my place for some dessert, so yeah, we caught up. Had a fun time, chatting and talking nonsense. Managed to see Snowball (rindu gila, she's been in my life for a damn long time)

So yeah, as I was saying, photography ain't dead for me. Haha. Today was one of the few times I went out with my camera, and I had fun. Kept getting asked about the price of the thing, which I'm always reluctant to say, so I just said "a lot". Hahah. But they were happy with the photos, and that's what matters, aye ;)
Ironically, at the end of the night, we had our umpteenth fire-alarm thingy go off. Bet the firefigthers make a shitload of money, as flat residents get fined $1800 per false alarm. Imagine that. I'd hate to cause a false one, let alone a real one.

So yeah, today's been a real great day. I also found out a few things that really brought a smile to my face, and I can't wait for it to happen. I must say though, this is way earlier than I planned to blog. Thought I'd wait a few days, maybe a week, but I'm just so happy and whoopee! Hahaha

I Know That You're Very Nice, Never Ever Tell Me Lies

I don't care if Monday's blue
Tuesday's grey and Wednesday too
Thursday I don't care about you
It's Friday, I'm in love
Monday you can fall apart
Tuesday, Wednesday break my heart
Oh, Thursday doesn't even start
It's Friday I'm in love

Today was a very good day! Hahaha. I woke up and Kin Meng asked me if I wanted to hang out with him, Terence, Sabrina and Sook Teng at 1u. So I said okay, but after my prayers. And so I met up with them and it felt good seeing them. We walked around a bit, then went to some place beside the river and sat and chatted, catching up a little, and talking bullshit most of the time.
Then we decided to meet up again later at night, and so we finally decided on Laundry at round dinner time. Met up there (Karl Son joined us) and had some (very) expensive food and a few drinks, and talked some more. Laughing at this and that.
Sabrina: Eh, Eman, I think I'm going crazy. I think Ronaldo is cute.
Me: Ohhhkayyy. Not bad la actually.
Terence: Eh come on she thinks Bacary Sagna is cute la. Fucking Aliens versus Predator weh!
*I burst out laughing*
At around 11 we decided to head to SS2 and continue there, since nak cheaper environment la kan. Hahahah. Ended up at um, I have no idea what the place is called, but the bunch of stalls in front of the SS2 Police Station. There we were joined by more people, and was quite fun just sitting and talking. Had to leave early a little, as I had to drop Terence home at 12, so yeah.
Had my camera with me, but didn't take many photos. Hahaha. How sad is that? But yeah, I think there's gonna be ample time to do that.

Kin Meng : Heh heh heh *horny look*

Terence is the unsuspecting victim

Kin Meng : Let me snap youuuu!
Terence : Eh, no! Eman, save me!

You're next. Mmmhmmm

Idiot took the camera and fooled around with it whilst I was driving. Hahah
Premature end to a night, but I've got to say I was happily satisfied :D

And His Mind Is A Beacon In The Veil Of The Night, For A Strange Kind Of Fashion There's A Wrong And A Right

Lets take a walk together near the open shore hand in hand, you and I
Lets cherish every moment we have been given, the time is passin' by
I hope and pray before I lay down by your side, if u receive your
Calling before I awake, could I make it through the night
Cherish - Kool & the Gang

Tired, Happy, Mmmmm..

Huh? What? (Front)

Which goes with hers, I'd like to think, and so I've been led to think, and so I'd like to think that I've been led to think that my shirt goes along with her shirt. I think.

Mmmm..

Oooh ass (Back-side. Literally)

It was a weird day for me, yesterday. Lows and really high highs. Like, "Fuah! High!" kinda high. Went out, and didn't think much about it when I saw Mel holding a plastic bag over her shirt. Ingatkan it was just some stuff that she wanted to return to me. Then after dah duduk, dah dapat the drinks, she asked me to take the shirt out.

Bleeding look at my shirt, damnit!
And I went "Oh my god!". Hahahah. Was grinning like an idiot, a wee bit gobsmacked and surprised (well, maybe not a wee bit). Then she showed me her tee, which was sorta matching mine, just that it was a different design and colour. But the link is there. And so, more grinning ensued.

Yeah. Senyum dan blur.
And then some um, photographing also followed at a different location.

Yet to take a side-by-side picture, though that's sure to come. Cannot wait. Oh, no, wait, it's like, "I can't bear to wait".

Where I Least Expected, There Was Someone Special

A foggy morning greets me quietly today
I smell a fragrance in the wind blowing my way
And ever further I run to find her
I yearn to define my life
Placing my faith in chance to meet me in half way
Back row to the left, a little to the side
Slightly out of the place
Look beyond the light, where you'd least expect
There's someone special
Someone Special - Poets of the Fall
So yeah, just when I thought I was going to end my week on a pretty low note, Mel (and Ping) came up with one of the best surprises ever.
She . Came . Back .I smell a fragrance in the wind blowing my way

So yeah, just when I thought I was going to end my week on a pretty low note, Mel (and Ping) came up with one of the best surprises ever.
*Albeit for only the weekend.
But still, it's been way too long since I last saw you, tau? One can only survive on phone calls for so long. Everything was so well executed, to be honest. I didn't suspect anything, but that may be because I'm generally clueless about lots of stuff. Hahaha. Doof, nay?
So anyway, I was wondering la kan why she was also asking me to go to Poppy, to erm, teman Ping or something (I was very iffy on going, since I was really pretty down / low / whatever at that point of time). Then cakap take something from her house from her parents, something to do with college. Gosh I fell for that one.
Sampai sana, nampak dia, rasa macam.. er.. I can't put it in words, I guess. The shouts of disbelief themselves were enough to wake the dead in Zimbabwe three times over, and then some. And it took me a while to sorta recover my senses.
Went to Nandos, then fetched her other friends, and we headed on to Poppy. Met up with Arthur and the rest, and then we had some funnnn! Someone (2 someones, actually) even went to the guys toilet. Hahahahah
But to sum it all up, thanks, so very much, for coming back.
It was an amazing weekend.

You're larger than lifesize, wondersome.

Photos courtesy of Jasmine. More on Facebook.
And then just now, I sent her off at Sunway. And I sorta felt a little down, again, though this time I knew it's less than a month before I'll see her again. I will survive!
Ohhh! Pastu kan! Damn Singaporean line, I texted her something, and she only received it like, what, half an hour later! Gahhhhh!
So yeah. 27th! Mesti! I'm booking them tickets and stuff within this week.

Haha. So I've gone and gotten myself another pair of shoes. For the price, how could I say no? Thanks to my man Dazed. Booyah!

And just now I went out with Arthur and Jasmine to Mc D in Ampang. Been a while since we had a nice chat about stuff in general, and it was fun and refreshing. And it helped lift me up, the whole hanging out thing.

Retrofit The Pudding Hatch, With the Boink Swatter

Marinate the nether rod,
In the squish mitten.
Power drill the yippee bog,
With the dude piston.
Put the you know what in the you know where,
Put the you know what in the you know where pronto.
Foxtrot Uniform Charlie Kilo - Bloodhound Gang
Ah, hmmm.. Ever get that, em.. feeling (?) where you're there but not really there? Your eyes are looking but not seeing, your ears are hearing but not listening? Like, you're there but you're not paying attention to anything, letting your mind wander about in it's own way?
Yeah, well, I didn't get that. Just thought I'd toss that in. Hahaha
Anyways, today, I slept and woke up pretty late-ish. Oh, and I managed to scratch the car on the gate, of all things to do on new years. What the heck eh? Yeah, I wrongly estimated the gate's opening time (Not really, it actually stopped halfway through opening), so I accidentally snagged the left wing-mirror on the padlock hole on the gate. Gah! Now there's a scratch on it. Way to go, Eman!
So yeah, that out of the way, my dad and mum were cleaning the room we use for ironing and clothes, and my dad dug up his old slave flash. Oh the joys of having a father who enjoyed photography. Many things he has passed down to me, and the latest one is pretty awesome. It didn't work at first, but after some constant banging and throwing and trying (and plenty of slight curses) I managed to get it to work. It's not the best, but it's still pretty awesome!
The slave flash. Em, colour cast was because I bounced my flash off my shirt, which was red. Pretty cool effect.

And I was actually out of inspiration to check out what I could photograph, so I just decided to use what was readily available at hand, and that happened to be Grubbs, who was sleeping on my quilt.

Edit: Added new pics.
Did a spot of.. em.. Cam-whoring to play around with the slave. Hmmmm..
What's over there?

Oh.. Unghhh..

Not as aesthetically pleasing as the others above, but hey I get some fun now and then. Hahaha
Owhhh yesss! Looks like I'm starting off 2008 pretty well.
Hopefully other things go well too.

And If Your Heart Stops Beating, I'll Be Here Wondering

Did you get what you deserve?
The ending of your life.
The ending of your life.
I'm horny, and I go jingle jingle jingle.
Thanks to you, Mel Chen.

And I snap photos too. :)

Thank you so very much.
Hahaha.
Oh yeah, I do mean it. :)

Sleep eluded me for the best part of an hour after completing The Mephisto Club by Tess Gerritsen. I can't recall the last time a book caused me so much trouble when it came to sleep. Could be that I just cannot handle stuff like that, but I prefer to think that the author was fantastic. She managed to keep me turning page after page, right to the end. Though I have to say the ending was somewhat.. anticlimactic. Good read, nonetheless. Can't wait to get more of her books. Money well spent, I say! ;)
On Sunday I attended a sort of party / gathering thing at Adele's place. Small thing, but fun enough. We even had an exchange-of-presents thingy. Pretty interesting. Food was good, company was great.
Us, exchanging gifts, sort of. Actually we drew pieces out of a box to see who got what.

Us, with our own gifts.

And some people were playing UNO, of all things, of all times.

Today I headed out with Ershad to the Gardens and Sunway Pyramid. Actually we first planned to head to the Gardens, but instead of turning into the parking lots of MidValley Megamall, we turned onto some weird road, that, after following misleading signs, and going through three different tolls, led us all the way to Sunway Pyramid. So we thought, what the hell, lets go check it out, since Pyramid 2 was new, anyway. Spent bout half-an-hour looking for parking, that full it was. (What the hell, right? I mean, it's Christmas! Don't you people like, have a life? Go and celebrate or something with your family. Not in a shopping mall. Haha)
Walked around, explored a few shops, and I bought myself a pair of shoes. Yeah, another pair. Two this month, though this was not that expensive either. Puts my Nikes to shame, really.
Eman discovers the joy of Converse shoes

And then we headed on to the Gardens. From one end, to the other, just to go back to the beginning again. Pretty interesting. This time we turned into the right place, and managed to get a spot without too much difficulty. Checked out the shops, most notable are Brickboy Toys and Borders. Those two places are the best! But I couldn't find the books I was looking for, but oh well. One day. You can't hide from me foreverrr! Then after a while, we decided to leave, and we spent some time looking for the car. Hahaha. Couldn't remember which floor it was on, so we went down, up, and then some. Managed to find it in the end, but, the pressure was there, you know? Like, they said there was a 20 minute grace-period before your ticket.. um.. expires, I guess. So yeah, pressure.
Plus, what the hell is a grace-period? I mean, do we need charity period? I mean, come on. It's bad enough that it's period. :P

Oh Yeah, I'll Tell You Something, I Think You'll Understand

When I'll Say That Something

So, um, the results of our finals came out yesterday. I was mighty disappointed, but, I guess it is good enough. My standards have dropped, pretty much. Which, is a bad thing, but I still have one more semester left to redeem myself (yeah, thanks mum). CGPA dropped. Still above 3.5, but not as high as I would have wanted it. Aaah!
But, I managed to escape the depression, the gloom, the um, badness associated with "bad" results. Thanks to you, yeh? Guess it worked both ways, though maybe I was more, um, okay, in a sense, compared to you in terms of.. this? Anyway, I'm glad I took your mind off things for a bit. Now let me see you in those blue pants, damnit! Hahaha. :)

Oh, by the way, I'm still semi-sick. Hahaha. And the stuff I take, well, they tend to give me weird dreams. Not that I don't enjoy them, they're just.. weird.
:)
:)
*Edit:
Went out to take some flower photos, since it's been a while since I did that. Used the 70-200 instead of the 17-70. Not bad, I like the DOF that I can get.

Had It Been Another Day, I Might've Looked the Other Way

But I'd have never been aware,
As it is I'll dream of her,
Tonight, di-di-di-di'n'di.
As it is I'll dream of her,
Tonight, di-di-di-di'n'di.
Across the Universe
If you're a Beatles fan, a music lover, an art lover, a romance lover, or plain just a lover, then you must watch it! It's pretty damn wowsome! First of, it's most definitely not a mainstream movie, more like, artsy-fartsy stuff, but let that take nothing away from the movie. I enjoyed it, especially the music that they used in the movie. I was pretty amazed at the stars, and that they could sing the songs very very well. Ah, it was a good time. Watch it again? Hell yes! ;)
Thanks for the time yesterday, and don't worry about being late. It was nothing. Gave me time to er.. bond with my iPod. And Quadrapop. Haha :)
Today, I feel / felt / am feeling so lazy. Lethargic. Tired. Zonked. Could be the weather. So to counter that, decided to head out to the garden, just to check out what there was to photograph, since my garden seems to be sorta cool in that sense, there's always a bug or two, though they're usually spiders.
Found a couple of spiders, and a dragonfly. Pretty productive, considering the weather conditions.
Was experimenting with different lighting angles, and this made it look so creepy.

Same spider, but with better lighting IMO.

And this one was an UGLY MOFO! :S
And it was pretty hard to photograph too.
*Image removed / moved, so click HERE to view it.
And the dragonfly.

And ever wondered what the ass of a dragonfly might look like?
Well, maybe you should look in a mirror? Hahahaha. Kidding ;)

And my workhorse lens. Must say it's the best thing to have on my camera, for me.

That's pretty much it for the day(s).
Mum wants me to get a haircut soon, so yeah.
And results are said to be available as soon as Friday.
Ooooh boy!
There's nothing you can do that can't be done.
