I Want to Take You Far, From the Cynics in This Town, and Kiss You on the Mouth
We'll cut out bodies free, from the tethers of this scene,
Start a brand new colony.

We'll give ourselves new names (identities erased)

"We won't be slicing things up in Photoshop because the previous class just fucked everything up" - Mark Cypher, Web Design Lecturer
Loads of apps in the works
I've been on and off for the past few weeks with my work, and frankly this scares the shit out of me. I think I'm a little behind on Web Design work (if not a lot, gah!), and that's one of the last subjects I ever thought I could be lagging in. Always thought Doco was the one that would give me problems.
I made a couple of calls to some guys back home, asking how they were, and also asking for some favours. Hahaha. Even here I can still ask for favours. Hopefully things pan out good, and I can get what I want, so that my grades will be in tune with what I'm feeling.
Ayah called via skype yesterday, and we talked quite a bit, though his original intention for calling was to ask a few things about uni and my acceptance into it, i.e: letters, receipts, etc. It's nice to hear his voice again, as well as Mum's, and it was good to see Snowball after so long. I really miss you guys ( Lisa too, but well, just a tad :P )
Was also reminded to:
Ack! The painnn!
Post-its FTW :D

If He Wants to Rock, He Rocks. If He Wants to Roll, He Rolls.
If he wants to stay he stays.
If he wants to go he goes.
He doesn't care how he gets there,
Long as he gets somewhere he knows.

So! Photos galore! Hahahah. And I really do mean photos galore.
PS: Sorry for the huge amount of photos :P

First off, thanks for the feedback re: the site designs. Mostly tallied with what I felt, so that's good, on my side of the court.
Today has been pretty rotten in so many aspects it's not funny, snag after snag happened. Bah! It felt like the world was against me. Took me a while to calm down, and sleep helped a lot.

But anyway, my family came to visit me here, for about 5 days, and I hope they had fun, even if I was a little surly and cynical at times. I did enjoy the company, just that it took some getting used to, especially after a couple of months of not seeing them. They're flying off at about 12 midnight, I think, so yeah, safe flight! See you guys soon.
Whilst they were here, we went to a few places, though I wasn't keen on some places. One place that I really enjoyed was the Caversham Wildlife Park. That's where we had the most fun, I believe (aside from them spending money shopping, I think).
So! Photos galore! Hahahah. And I really do mean photos galore.
More photos should be available on Lisa's blog when she gets back, or on facebook, one of them, depending on her mood. And tomorrow I start uni again! Wheeee! Finally, some studying. Hahahaha

Somebody Calls You, and You Answer Quite Slowly. A Girl With Kaleidoscope Eyes
Newspaper taxis appear on the shore,
Waiting to take you away.
Climb in the back with your head in the clouds,
And you're gone.
Lucy In the Sky With Diamonds - Bono
My family came erm, sideways, sorta, to Australia (sideways, since I don't think it's really down, or up) to visit me! Happiness, is a warm gun, bang bang shoot shoot. Hahahaha. Lisa screamed when she saw me, which shocked me, but I was happy nevertheless. Atuf came along too.
I spent yesterday with them, catching up and talking about mushrooms (I can't get enough of them), and slept at their place. Also watched TV till late, was watching some Czech/Russian/Croatian movie, not sure which. It was interesting. Then woke up, headed back to my place to unload stuff that my parents brought from home (Maggi kari, oh my god, heaven! Hahaha. I can't find maggi kari here) and slept some more. Whoa it felt good.
Woke up, did some laundry, and had lunch while watching Across the Universe. Which got a lot of approvals from the people who dropped by. Wheee! Hahahaha.
Thought this was cool, can see the reflection of the monitor in the reflection of the monitor in the reflection of the monitor in the yada yada yada hahahaha
But anyway. I need some help, I've to design a website for some architectural landscaping thing company, and I've to come up with design compositions/concepts for it. So I've come up with 4, so far, and it's not as easy as it looks, taking into consideration the layout of the page and user-friendliness and whatnot. So yeah, pick one, or tell me which one can be improved. Here, MSN, text, whatever, I need feedback before I propose this to my lecturer.

Numbered 1,2,3 and 4 respectively.
Aside from that, all's well, and ends well. I've met someone who drives me crazy, in a bad yet good way. Interesting. Hmmmmm.

We Go Out In Stormy Weather, We Rarely Practice Discern
And that's the way we get by
That's the way we get by
The Way We Get By - Spoon
That's the way we get by
The Way We Get By - Spoon
Here I am, sitting in front of yet another computer, cracking my brain to try make this an interesting post. I've quite a lot to write (or in this case, type) about, but I can't decide how to start, how to fill in the middle, or how to end. Hahaha. I think I've lost a lot of my wit and writing (typing) ability over the past year. Not that I had much to begin with anyway.
So. Past week has been somewhat mild to pretty damn good up till now. The week started slowly, as Mondays always do, with class and class and more class. I watched a movie on suicide, recommended by Ashlea, and it really depressed me. She thought it'd help by inspiring me to proceed with my short film idea, and in a way it did. But it really depressed me as well., more because it was about this nice girl who killed herself, not because I somewhat felt related to the movie. Movie is called "2:37". Watch it, it might be of some kind of help.
We watched an interesting documentary on Wednesday, it was titled "Choice Funerals" I believe. The first part of it was so sad, as it was about the death of a baby, and how the parents decided to carry out the funeral. The combination of the videos, images and music was enough to make me tear. Quite a lot too. Hahahah. Thank god the lights were switched off.
And I've been reading quite a lot of story books, mostly to do with murders and crime. Went through five books already, in the space of a month, which I guess isn't too slow.
So by now you must be wondering to yourselves, "What the hell, this kid's obsessed with death." In a way, I am. I've this somewhat morbid fascination with death, how people die, and whatever else. It's kinda creepy at times, but hey, it floats my boat, my imagination really gets fuelled by it, and I think I work better after a good movie or story.
Speaking of work, I've got two assignments due pretty soon, one due on Monday. It's a video editing assignment, so it should be right up my alley, right? Well, in a way, it is. I managed to cut it up and piece it together pretty quickly. The only factor that's holding me back is the laggy playback. I don't know if it is the fault of Adobe Premier Pro (Which sucks, horrendously) or if the computer is not powerful enough. That, and the frequent crashes keep getting on my nerves.
How the hell am I supposed to work with sub-par equipment? But, fortunately, my patience lasted, and I finished it. Took two non-consecutive days, but I'm happy with the result. I just hope my lecturer is too. And the song I chose to use for this assignment is "The Way We Get By", so that explains the title of the post, kan?
The other assignment? I'll write more about it when I'm nearly or completely finished. I don't want to think about it much. It requires hours in front of the computer, creativity and brainpower. All of which needs me to be in the mood to do, so yeah. When I'm done. Ahhh!

Premier Pro is as stable as an upside-down pyramid on an egg in the middle of an earthquake!

I'd Pluck The Moon From The Sky, Just To See You Smile
Kau ku cinta
Engkaulah yg ku puja
Tertunggu selama ini takku jumpa
Dengan mu ku dilamun indah
Ku harap cinta akan tiba di hati kita
Akan Tiba - Amylea
Weng is gay. Won't jump properly
Colour difference between my sun-exposed skin and non-sun-exposed skin is somewhat like that. Well, maybe not that drastic. But still.

I'm so tired. Hahaha. And I've turned 12 shades darker, if that's possible. Spent quite some time under the sun yesterday. Met up with Weng Fatt and some of his friends at Scarborough beach (which inherently takes about an hour to get to from where I stay). Huge beach, quite nice, and generally what a beach would be like.

They had some fun in the water, but I didn't get in. Didn't bring extra clothes, plus I didn't feel like going into the water. Woke up with a pretty horrible headache and stuff. After that I went to bed early. Hahaha. Got back at about, um, 4-ish, close to 5, and had a bath, some food, and zonked out pretty much for the rest of the night, well into today. Weny called at about midnight, and it was a pretty funny conversation, even if I was half-asleep.
Weny: Hey, eman, what're you doing now
Me: *In a daze and mumbling* Sleeping...
Weny: Haha. What the heck? So early?!
Me: Tired laaa..
Weny: Ok, so tomorrow meet up at 12 yeah?
Me: 12.30 la. Takut takleh bangun
Hahaha. Well, I found it funny. Humour level in this is very subjective ;)

So today met up with Weng, Weny and his friend, and we had lunch in the city. Caught up, chatted and what have you. Then masa nak balik I spent a good 15 minutes walking aimlessly around looking at things, and almost got lost. Haha. Had to stop and ask someone where the train station was.
I also found out yesterday that I've been the biggest stupid fool in the universe. Hahaha. Gila bodoh. I've been texting some non-existent number in the belief that it was someone. Turns out that I accidentally added an extra number 2 to the end of the number, and saved it. No wonder I haven't been getting replies. Ceh! I can't believe it took me until now to figure out that your number was wrong. Bloody hell.
I've got a cupboard with cans of food,
filtered water, and pictures of you
and I'm not coming out until this is all over.
And I'm looking through the glass
Where the light bends at the cracks
And I'm screaming at the top of my lungs
Pretending the echoes belong to someone
Someone I used to know
