Yours is the First Face That I Saw
I swear I was blind before I met you.
Like, seriously, one of the first faces that I saw, then.
:)
And here's two of my best pictures taken yesterday.
I suck at butterflies, but my birds more than make up for it.
Both are posted on my DeviantART
*WARNING: This post contains tonnes of images. Please allow them to fully load.
And then donate RM 2 to fund my cause for a new lens. Hahah :P
After quite some time being stressed out with happenings in life, I decided to take a break.
When Kinz invited me to tag along to Sg. Wang to hang out because Emily wanted to get something for her camera, I jumped at the chance.
I needed to de-stress.
Even if it was Sg. Wang.
Then after a pretty short while there, we were at a lost as to what to do.
Obviously we didn't want to head back home as it was still too early, and we barely spent an hour there.
So we drove around, and decided to head over to the butterfly park.
We had our cameras anyway, so why not, yeah?
So yeah, butterfly park.
Pictures:
The first butterfly that I took.
And so on...
Nut butterflies, but hey they were there, and I had my camera...
Then Kinz decided "To hell with the rules!"
And more.
This last one let me get really close. Like, really really close.
And this praying mantis was in the exhibition near the exit of the butterfly park.
And that was that. Spent something like 2 hours at the park.
But aha! We were not done.
We still had some time to kill, and since we were already there, we decided to check out the bird park as well.
Headed there, and after some thoughts and discussions, we went it.
*By the way, it was RM12 per entry for the bird park.
And Emily was a little skeptical about going in, but I'm sure she enjoyed it in the end.
So yeah. Whoosh came out my 70-200.
Birds, here I come!
Pictures:
The first good bird photo of the day.
And it continues...
This one really reminds me of one of the creatures in Jurassic Park. It's the thing n the head, I'm sure.
Really liked this one.
He / She posed for quite some time for me.
Haha
And then there were the noisemakers.
Well, here's one of them anyway.
Kinz having fun with a white birdie.
And the only flight shot I managed to get that looked good.
And now, it's really, and truly, over.
Thank you Kinz for inviting me to Sg. Wang, and thank you Emily for wanting to go to Sg. Wang.
:D

It's Funny to Me, How You've Turned Into Such a Joke
Moon was real bright again tonight.
Guess I can't get bored of taking moon shots, even if they do almost always come out the same.
Round, gray and.. Moony.
Hahaha.
No! I won't get bored!
Nevaaaaa!
And on a different note.
And also something way closer to home.
Was in the garden after the rain, when I spotted a couple of..
Um.. Moths? Butterflies, I'm guessing, since moths have a different body shape / structure.
Or, I could be very wrong and they turn out to be extraterrestrial life-forms hell bent on sucking our brains out and colonizing this planet because their planet was destroyed by the giant roll-on deodorant stick from Saturn.
Anyway.
More to come.
And I'm off to bed now.
Heeee!

I May Not Make it Through the Night
Maroon 5's latest album is somehow more, um, emotional that I would've thought.
Not that that's a bad thing. I guess.
Most of the songs are nice, anyway.
Some fire pictures.
Sorta explains.. loads.
The elegance of fire.
The beauty of fire.
The randomness of fire.
The destructiveness of fire.
The danger of fire.
The power of fire.
Stare into it long enough and you see things you never thought you'd see.
And I'm not talking all that satanic / ghost stuff either.
And they say three's a crowd.
Specially.
Though two is company.
...
And being gang-raped is not fun. :(

Fly Me to the Moon
Went out to look for one of my cats and I spotted the moon shining.
Decided to try take a few shots of it.
This was at around 6.30 or so.
Yes, in the evening.
Metered the sky, and had to adjust the exposure to get the moon to stand out.
Looks a little noisy.
This one was converted from RAW.
Wanted to upload the PNG version, as it looks way better, but the file is just too big.
So yeah, JPEG, converted from RAW.
Levels, Shadows, Highlights, and a spot of USM.
This one, taken at about midnight.
RAW to JPEG, Levels, Shadows, and a spot of USM.
Clearly seen is the effect of time on the phase of the moon, even in one day.
Heee! :D

I Love You, God Damnit!
Ah, I've been neglecting this thing for a few days.
Feel kind of lazy to update, but I've got stuff to share.
Mostly photos, but whatever.
Been a pretty dull week.
But it's gonna be hectic!
I've got a few assignments to complete, plus I have an exam next Tuesday.
Might not seem like much, but this sem I must really perform.
Must justify the ridiculous purchases.
So anyway, Monday and Tuesday passed by without much happening.
Brought my laptop to class on Tuesday, and all the Hoo Haa it created.
Hahahahah.
There was a 2 hour break and we went to Sam's place.
They ate, I watched, and took some photos.
Wednesday there was no class, and I had to hang around outside the house.
This was because some people came and refurbished (?) the floor upstairs, so yeah.
Had no access to my room for about a whole day.
Luckily the house has WiFi.
Yep that's how I spent my afternoon.
And oh I got a haircut!
Finally, after like, what, two months? Maybe longer.
Forgive the expression and the face.
And the quality of the picture.
Taken with the in-built camera on my mac.
Hahaha
And later at night.
The moon was pretty nice.
Very nice, in fact.
And, I love you, God Damnit!
And now we come to today.
Class was at 8, and I had woken up earlier at 2.45 or so to catch the Champions League match: Sporting Lisbon vs Manchester United.
In all fairness, I'd say a draw would've been a just result.
But, Ronaldo popped up with a goal in front of his former fans and against his former team, and hey ho 3 points.
One thing I really liked about the match was the reception the crowd gave to Ronaldo.
Even if he did score the winning goal, the crowd saw fit to give him a standing ovation when he was subbed towards the end.
Always love to see that in football - crowd appreciation.
So yeah, class at 8, then a 2 hour break, and class again until about 3.30.
And so, some pictures!
Arthur's 18-55:
Arthur playing with my 70-200 on his camera:
Some shots of the local park:
And a quick pan I managed to get:
That's about it.
Till later! :D
*PS: Removed. I was giving out wrong information lol. ;)
